‘‘There is more than one sense to the word. Which do you uphold?’’
ProMe[n]theus Bound
Adapted in collaboration with Jack Young and Attila Fejes
Three men meet up in a pub at the bottom of a mountain after meeting Prometheus, a titan who stole fire from Olymph. A man sentenced to suffer for eternity becomes a mirror for our characters in which they can face the artificiality of their own actions, desires and conceptions about reality. They are at the first stage of realisation, facing the anxiety of change sitting in a bar with no Doctor, in a liminal space, somewhere between land and ocean, fear and fulfilment, private and public. We play with sexual tension, repetition, and confusion to get to the point where ‘’inland boats are driven to ocean/ down streams made strong with mountain-thaw’’(Prometheus Unbound by Percy Shelley)
